It’s A New Decade!

Were right at two weeks into a new decade and I’m a little late saying Happy New Year!

You may have heard this already but I’m wholly on board with 2020 being about clear vision (is this corny?) and focus.  Here are some things I want to focus on in 2020.

Book #2

I wrote like a maniac at the end of 2019 and now I want to focus on finishing novel number two.  This story will be the first in a series.  It’s going off in a bit of a new direction but let me just tell you that it’s about four sisters that find themselves caught up in a dark family business. The story is more of a dark comedy.  Put up a little prayer for me that I can pull it off.  The research for this one is a beast.  I need somebody to go with me to the gun range.

Hobbies

I have a million hobbies.  I like to sew, crochet, paint, scrapbook, make cards…  Who knows, I may see some new creative thing on social media next week and start doing that one too.  It’s just the way my mind works; I’m always exploring something new.  I write all that to say, I need to sit down somewhere and focus on one or two of those.  For now, I choose sewing and drawing.  I already bought a new sketchbook and started making a new dress.  The goal is not to get sidetracked by a new skill on Bluprint or Skillshare because evidently my other hobby is purchasing online classes.

Yoga

I know everybody always sets New Year’s resolutions about losing weight and getting more fit.  I won’t lie and say that I don’t have my own fitness goals in mind, but this year I need to focus on my joint health.  The arthritis in my knees isn’t doing any favors, as I get more fabulous with age.  I don’t know if I will be able to claim to be a full time Yogi by the end of the year, but I’m hoping with the help of some YouTube friends like Adriene or others, I can be more flexible and rid myself of some aches and pains naturally.  Namaste.

Connecting

After losing a friend suddenly in 2019, I pledged to myself that I would spend more time with my framily (friends who are like family).  This year I want to do a better job of connecting with my readers and other writers out here in the community.  I’m not sure how to do that yet, but you will be seeing more from me this year.  Help me out.  What things would you like to see me talk about in my blog and newsletter?  How can I connect better with you?  Leave a comment below or hit me up on the socials.

What will you focus on in 2020?
